Arts Management.

Ciaróg Productions.

I am currently acting as Ciaróg Productions’ Artistic Director/Co-Founder alongside Tara Mackin, Ciaróg’s Creative Producer/Co-Founder. Ciaróg Productions is a multidisciplinary company based in Galway, Ireland focused on producing contemporary work that takes from while also challenging tradition. We strive to create a safe and accessible space that allows artists to test out new ideas, take risks and experiment across art forms. We collaborate with a diverse range of artistic disciplines, backgrounds and experience levels. Ciaróg are particularly interested in research based work that test the limits of performance. We call ourselves Ciaróg, ‘aithníonn ciaróg ciaróg eile’ (one beetle recognizes another beetle), as we intend to create new work that reflects our contemporary world and widens our perspectives.

Auditor of DramSoc.

I acted as the Auditor of University of Galway’s DramSoc from 2022-2023. During my time as auditor, the society hosted 104 events, produced 20 productions and had 3000 members. During my time on committee, I introduced a new festival entitled the Work In Progress Festival. The festival was dedicated to facilitating emerging playwrights and the development of original writing through workshops, social events and a staged reading showcase. We also organized a Theatre Week Festival where we held 10 events and showcased 5 original one acts. I also assisted the society in winning Best Promotional Campaign for Mr Burns (A Post Electric Play) as well as Best Society at the University of Galway 2023 Society Awards. The society also won seven different Irish Society Drama Awards at the 2023 ISDA Festival.

DramSoc Committee.

In 2020 I joined the University of Galway’s DramSoc Committee as the New Member’s Representative. With this role, I directed the Fresher’s Showcase entitled Monologues Amongst Mayhem and assisted new members in feeling comfortable and confident within the society. In 2021, I was re-elected onto the committee as the Inclusivity Officer. With this role, I organized consent training for every production, introduced Black History Week social media posts and improved the societies use of content warnings and accessibility seating within productions.

Trapdoor Theatre Company.

I joined Trapdoor Theatre Company (based in Baltimore, Maryland) in 2017 as a company member. I performed in two of their main shows (The Shape of Things as Jenny and The Library as Detective Washburn). In 2018 I was elected the Artistic Director of Trapdoor Theatre Company. With this position, I ran the company from 2018-2019 and directed She Kills Monsters. I also assisted in organizing the annual Trapdoor Gala which hosted over 100 people and provided full catering, entertainment and a company raffle.
